Community Day Nursery is a comprehensive child care program committed to serving Bayonne’s youngest residents with developmentally appropriate preschool experiences.

Mission / Philosophy

Community Day Nursery’s mission is to provide each child with a warm and safe learning environment that encourages the development of cognitive, social and emotional, language, physical, and self-regulation skills. Community Day Nursery supports the development of each child’s social competence by providing opportunities for children to make decisions, and work towards their own solutions to solve problems fostering a healthy, independent, strong sense of self in each child. Our teachers encourage children to think for themselves, express their own ideas and feelings, show appreciation of their own and other’s ethnicities, cultures, and languages, through the delivery of quality early childhood education instructional practices. Community Day Nursery supports and strengthens the family’s role in the educational process, as the main source of security and identity of our children, and supports the development of each child’s sense of responsibility for their community. Each child has an equal opportunity to develop personally, culturally, and linguistically through the quality preschool educational experience at Community Day Nursery.
